I am urging everyone to contact their local representative in congress to request their support to co-sponsor HR 802 which would provide TRICARE recipients with access to a benefit of chiropractic care.
Currently, active duty military personnel have access to chiropractic care within the DoD health care system, however , they must wait between 2-3 months for their first or any followup visits, which is way too long. This law will make available to retires, and their dependends as well as survivor beneficiaries within the military TRICARE system with safe , effective, drugless chiropractic care, especially in light of the recent article in the Washington post which reported reported 80% percent of the narcotic pain medication prescribed in the world is here in the United States, even though we only account less than 5% of the population. Since January 2015, chiropractic services are now included in the standard of care for pain management within the DoD.
Please call your local Congressman and demand that they co-sponsor HR 802 which is lead by Rep's Mike Rogers (R-AL) and Dave Loebsack (D-IA)
